Aced It Again. We needed new eavestroughs and Jason’s crew aced it again. They arrived on time in the morning, quickly removed the old gutters, cleaned up all the debris and then installed shiny new ones, complete with covers. It all took less than a day.

I just wanted to say how IMPRESSED I am with Kovar Roofing. From the initial e-mail I sent them they were completely RESPONSIVE and QUICK to answer any questions I had. Scheduling the estimate was easily done through their office and they have a great online system which helps them stay on top of all the coordination. This was a huge improvement over other contractors I’ve dealt with in the past who seemed to be unable to keep their appointments and timings organized. Scott and Jason were both great to deal with. They each have their own specializations. In my case there was a problem with venting and insulation in the garage attic. Jason focused on the venting and Scott assessed the insulation requirements. It may seem like that could cause issues if they covered separate areas of the same job. That wasn’t the case at all. They easily integrated all the job requirements while taking into consideration the bigger picture of the overall ice buildup issues. All in all a GREAT experience. I would definitely recommend this company and am keeping them at the TOP of my list for future roofing/insulation issues.

Jason is an honest guy who will tell you straight up what you do and don’t need, which is tough to find in this day and age. We had several companies try and quote us for products we didn’t need. Customer service is top notch and again, something lacking with most businesses these days.

His roofing crew showed up each morning promptly at 7AM, and cleaned up the site each day. The only nail left on the ground Jason found himself when dropping by to ensure we were happy. I am a details kind of person, and when someone can exceed my expectations that is truly something special. A job which others quoted 7 days Jason’s crew were done in 3 days. He has experienced guys working for him that don’t make costly mistakes.

While Kovar is not the cheapest company on the block, you do get what you pay for. Worth every penny if you want a hassle free roof installed with the best products with the best warranty offered on the market backed by a very honest and dependable company!

I was looking to add light to a dark home office and had recently read about sun tunnels. I called the office and booked an appointment for an estimate within a week. Price I was quoted was not the least expensive ( based on phone calls to others) but it was fair and I felt confident in the company after meeting Jason who came to do the quote. Although he had told me it would likely be 3-4 weeks before it would be done I received a call in two weeks saying they were ready to go. Installation went well, the installer wore a mask, used a drop sheet and took care to clean as much as he could before he left. The company makes good use of electronic contracts etc making this a quick and easy way to get the job done. I will certainly call them again should I have a need for other roofing work.

We used Kovar to upgrade our attic (baffles, air sealing, R60 insulation top up), replace our roof (CertainTeed Landmark Pro), and replace our soffit, fascia, and gutters (which included a fascia rebuild and tear out of existing plywood soffits).

The work was well coordinated across 3 crews in 2 different visits. The attic work happened at the same time as the roof to reduce impact to us, and the soffit, fascia, and gutter work happened 6 weeks later.

Jason’s estimates were detailed, honest, and competitive. In the end, we paid exactly what was estimated. One on-site change was handled quickly and easily, and Jason only charged the cost of materials. A small schedule shift requested by us was accommodated by the team.

Jason was very patient with my dozens of questions leading to us hiring his team, and stayed patient while we adjusted and selected specific materials.

Jason and team have been responsive to a couple of very minor issues, and are proceeding to correct them. They obviously stand by their work.

Jason and his team were amazing from start to finish. They have in many ways mastered the way a business should operate; personable, they follow-through, and you can tell they are knowledgeable and experts in their field. They were attentive, gave us a timeline and met their deadlines. They followed up after the work was done with our warranty. When you’re making your final decision on which company you should we go with, just remember that you get what you pay for. They are worth every penny.

Excellent service. We were very impressed with the immaculate work they did on our neighbour’s roof; my husband works at home and watched as the workers not only cleaned the homeowner’s yard but also made sure nothing had fallen into the neighboring yards. That was enough to make us call for a quote.

We decided to go with Kovar and are glad we did. The guys were safe, fast, and efficient, and when they noticed a few additional issues with our roof, they had Jason come out to discuss it further and price it out. Recently had some facia damage due to storm. Jason promptly gave us a quote for repairs and the timeframe in which the work could be done. Due to weather there was a delay which Jason communicated to us with an apology but a commitment to do the work ASAP. Within a few days, the repairs were done. The company respected costs and since damage was minimal, the original facia could be re-used which cut the repair costs in half. We found this company to be dependable, curteous and cost efficient. We would very happily use this company again.

They were timely and responsive when I called them in June. I needed eavestrough and another company I contacted in April never responded until end of June. It’s great that Kovar have an administrative person as well as installers. They were upfront about potential delays from Covid-19. Thankfully, they got the work done sooner than expected! Expected work by end of October but they worked it into mid-July. They matched the colour of my siding, the runs are clean, the downspouts are trim and secure — thank you!

Jason and his team were very professional during the duration of the job. They worked hard from early in the morning until early evening. The quality of craftsmanship is second to none. Jason was excellent throughout the process of our “re roof” and was very quick in answering any questions we had. Would highly recommend Jason and his team to anyone!

These guys did an amazing job in re-doing my roof. They finished the job in two days, worked the whole day both days, and cleaned up everything after each day. The quality of work was top notch, and lots of care was taken in all aspects of the work (I’m specially impressed by the attention to detail in all the black lashing in my brick home). Communication was transparent and honest throughout the whole process. Overall I couldn’t be happier with their work. Will recommend always!

After much research, I chose Kovar Contractors to handle the complete upgrading on the back of my home two years ago. Impressive scaffolding (safety first!) along with highly professional, competent and personable workers, confirmed my decision to invest in their services. Kovar redid my townhouse roof and changed most of my sheathing too. They were great to work with, very accomodating and had a fair price. Good quality work. I would recommend them to anyone i know.

Had a great experience with having my attic insulation upgraded. Thing went well, on time. Staff provided great explanations of the work to be done and maintained good communication. Took before and after picture. Pointed all issues. Job was well done. Site was cleaned up. Can’t ask for more!
